Lake Naivasha to Nakuru - Monday 18th Jan

We were packed up by 8 and then headed off at 9am for the short couple of hundred km's drive to Nakuru which is the 4th biggest city in Kenya.

On the way we stopped at a  truck stop where they do BBQ goat . After picking out which cuts we wanted ( we passed on the intestines and other assortments and went for the ribs)they then brought it over on a chopping board with some sides.

Excellent lunch washed down with a local Tusker beer. Then it was back on the road for about 60 minutes until we reached out camp ground called Kembu Campsite.

Joey picked us out a nice campsite and it wasn't long before we were settling down for a couple of quick beers .

Kembu is a working farm, run by the Zoe & Andrew of the Nightingale family, overlooking the Great Rift Valley.
We met Andrew over pre drinker drinks and discovered that he has many interests like fly and extreme fishing, writing a book to document the fish of Kenya and has done some expedition and filming work with Bear Grill amougst other things.

In keeping with the  goat day theme Amanda made us a delicious goat curry for dinner which she had been making over the last 2 days in something like the dream pot that campers back home use.
