Had pizza and beer at the bar for lunch and then Joey and I went out to the island for a snorkel for about an hour in the fresh warm water to swim around in for about an hour followed by a few hours lazing around the rest of the afternoon.
My mate at the security gate dropped off the frozen bottle of bore water so set about making it into drinking ice.. We hadn't caught any cholera from the night before so assumed it was safe to try again.
Amanda had tried to get some butter fish for dinner however this proved unsuccessful when the locals showed up and tried to palm off some other not so nice tasting fish- would be very hard to put one over Amanda I reckon , so the next up for dinner menu was split chickens over charcoal with chips and salad.
Post dinner we had a visit from some young German girls who where trying to cook their dinner on an open fire without any kero or fire starters so they asked if they could borrow some coals which were provided only to find about 30 minutes later they returned as they couldn't get there fire going and wanted to use the coals to cook. Given the time and how long it would take to heat up the water for their spaghetti ,Amanda fired up the gas burners and got them under way. They might need to do better planning for dinner in future a bit earlier in the day rather than lay on the beach all day. Was tempted to tell them about the six P's ( prior planning prevents piss poor performance) but didn't as Amanda had given them some friendly advice as well!
I'm very impressed you restrained yourself and didn't give any advice - must be typical P's those girls, they need a J to travel with them next time:)
