and then a visit to the museum which had a good display of their history with a welwitschia stem which is estimated to be 1000 years old
A good display of stuffed animals
The museum was very close to the beach so we enjoyed a stroll along the foreshore with the local boys wearing their homemade flotation devices
The town is totally different than the rest of Africa we have been though with the feel very much like the Gold or Sunshine Coast. We also came across a very nice oyster and wine bar which we decided to book for dinner. On the way back we came across a biltong shop and stocked up on several varieties
Then a quick stop at the shop rite for ice and a a giggle at the one of the very colourful local woman that get around town
Dropped off the groceries and then headed to Amanda and Jans favourite pizza shop for snails and oysters for entree and Oryx pizza for mains with a few beers and white wine for lunch and parted with the grand sum of AUD$30 whilst ducking across the road to the grog shop for a couple of bottles of wine for ron as you can't but grog after 1pm on Satrurady and all of Sunday .
Headed out for dinner about 7.30 but the salt spray was in full force so no sunset today, had to settle for a fabulous dinner of oysters and prawn/calamari corconda to entree
