Had 6 dunes to do with various challenges on each one and trying to reach speeds of up to 70kms per hour which they measure on a speed gun - I got up to 64kms per hour
Even Joey had a few goes and then a tandem with the instructor whilst Jan and I did one as well
After being covered in sand from both the sand boarding and the wind we finished up with lunch and a few beers in the dunes
All over town and out on the freeway they have amassed thousands of canary date palms which gives the location a very island tropical look, would have been great to be part of the project moving and planting the palms .
We headed back to the sand boarding shop to view the photos and video from the activity at 6pm followed by a 10minute walk back the the oyster and wine bar for a repeat of dinner from the night before . Oysters and corconda for entrees followed by mussels for Jo and tuna sashimi for me - tuna heaven
We would like to spend a few more days here trying other restaurants so maybe next time.
Hi guys, very interesting! Harsh environment. Loved the green change with the beautiful avenue of Canariensis. What a surprise out there.
ReplyDeleteBit ironic to see the first cycad at the pool in a pot was a mongrel Revoluta! No moths there I bet. Looking forward to some nice Encepharlartos. Alan
